The Group Alvariño is today present in businesses as diverse as renewable energy, digital technologies, new mobility, investments, real estate, insurance or the car.
In recent years, this group family business, founded in Vigo in 1944 by D. Salvador Fernandez Troncoso (1916 - 2014) and is currently in the hands of the third generation, is making a strong commitment to the sectors of the new economy, with the energy sector (renewables and energy efficiency) and ICT as growth areas preferred.
The consolidated position of their businesses in these sectors allows the Group to Alvariño to have a win-win situation for the development of new business projects related to digitalization, sustainable mobility and the green economy.
In this last segment, the Group Alvariño was a pioneer in the bet on the energy transition in Galicia. Almost 20 years ago laid the seed for its division of Renewable Energy with the commissioning of several photovoltaic plants have been the basis for the growth of the activity of their companies in the sector.
Today, the division of the Group Alvariño focused on the Energies, especially in the photovoltaic and energy efficiency, it is a relevant actor in the ecosystem of companies that are driving the energy transition in Galicia and other areas of Spain in which the Group is present, contributing to the improvement of the sustainability of the business and industry that rely on their services.
